Facilitating IVF

From: Freek Dirkx

Dear Garner,

Thank you for writing this book. It confirms and supports my ideas in a wonderful way.  I am a physiotherapist, NLP Trainer, Master Practioner and followed the wonderful Health Certificate Training from Robert Dilts, Tim Halbom and Suzie Smith last year. Now I work as a Health coach for people with occupational heath challenges.

One daughter of mine just turned 4 and the second one will be born in December this year. For both of them we needed an IVF treatment.

Now I am starting a practice in coaching couples who need an IVF treatment for fulfilling their child wish.  NLP structures and techniques work miracles for  those who need an IVF treatment.  The first couple will start their IVF treatment next week and they come completely prepared. They are in control, knowing what to expect and with all the right resourses available for them.  It’s very exiting to work with them.

Do you or one of your colleagues have experiences with coaching couples who need an IVF treatment? All ideas, tips, comments are gratefully welcome.

Thank you so much,

With regards.

Yes, those trained in Medical NLP are familiar with the issues surrounding medically unexplained infertility (MUI) and IVF, and, anecdotall y,outcomes are between 72% and 80% successful, where other methods

have failed.

Aside from all the resource-building, which I'm sure you have fully attended to, it is important to teach the couple - the woman in particular - to manage limbic arousal. Possibly for evolutionary reasons, stressed women often fail to conceive or they sponteneously abort. We find the Relaxation Response, as mentioned in the Appendix to Magic in Practice, an extremely useful tool.Regularity of the practice is essential to its success.

Another thought you might explore: the foetus is 50% alien tissue, and part of the miracle is that the mother's body temporarily suspends certain immune responses in order to accomodate this. We suspect that where IVF fails, the body is responding along similar lines to an allergic response, and our treatment is adjusted accoprdingly.

Thank you for the comments and question, and good luck.
